Since the new Mobile Link Launch on March 30th, some Mobile Link users have noticed their Exercise Schedule showing in the app and website as being set to Sunday at midnight, which for obvious reasons has caused confusion and concern.
IMPORTANT NOTE: If your account displays this way, please be assured that the exercise time on your generator was not affected by the Mobile Link Launch. Only the way the exercise is displayed in the app is affected.
After logging into Mobile Link successfully, and clicks on Exercise Schedule they see this:
The new Mobile Link application attempts to remain as accurate as possible, by asking the generator to confirm the exercise schedule it has configured. (The old Mobile Link app did not confirm schedule setting and as a result, could become inaccurate.)
Some older generators are equipped with control panels that only have one-way communication in regard to the exercise information, while newer generator control panels allow two-way communication. The one-way communication fails to communicate their currently configured exercise schedule with Mobile Link. If your exercise schedule is displaying this way, your model is one of those one-way communicating models.
Most newer controllers now have two-way communication, and the app was built to leverage this in order to remain as accurate as possible. In doing so, a default setting was defined for when we receive no update from a controller which is Weekly. Sunday. Midnight. Seeing this definition in the app is not an indication of the generator's true configuration, rather, an indication that the generator has not communicated its current schedule to us. We realize that this has caused confusion, and we are working on updating this page to reflect a more informative message when a generator fails to confirm its exercise schedule.
WHY DID I SEE THE EXERCISE SCHEDULE IN THE LAST APP?
When Mobile Link was first created, the generators at that time only had one-way communication. So the original app was designed to retain the exercise schedule you originally set with the app, which if changed at the controller manually would have been different on the app. So what you saw on the app was not truly confirmed by reading from the control panel.
WHAT CAN I DO NOW?
- Please be assured that you can continue to configure your exercise using the app as you always have.
- If you have a paid subscription, monitor your weekly status and verify the exercise runs at the time that you intend.
- You can also check the owner's manual for your generator and manually review the exercise from the control panel.
